Bidra med feedbackA nice example of a small family run Portuguese restaurant in the New Bedford area. The food is very good and can be a good value, depending on the dish. Service is quirky. Not the best place to go if you are planning to stay with your friends to chat after finishing the meal. One gets the unsubtle hint that it's time to pay up and get going unless you plan to order more. Yet, once the check arrives, it's hard to get someone to look at your table to pick up the payment. This is not unusual for places of this type. A local quirk? Overall I still like the place and recommend it for anyone who wants a good meal and nice family atmosphere. A great bet for people visiting the area, looking for an authentic taste of the area's Portuguese cuisine. Hard to get much more authentic than this, quirks and all.
The food at this restaurant is excellent. The cod fish gom sa is the best I have ever had in the city. It's just a shame that this place is tucked away off a main road. It's perfect for big parties as it's never too crowded for a last-minute large reservation. I will definitely be returning.
I really enjoyed the Chicken Mozambique dish at this restaurant. The Portuguese pop rolls were particularly delicious. This was my first time dining here, but I definitely plan on coming back soon.
Amazing food. Friendly staff. There's always new interesting surprises on their specials menu. Do yourself a favor and try the cacoila pizza.
The food was delicious and the prices were affordable, but we experienced slow service when we went on a Friday at 5:30. The restaurant also has a large bar, pool tables, and a friendly staff, making it a great place overall.
