Dulce Mexican - New Bedford

I had a delicious plate of nachos, and all the ingredients were fresh. The waitress was fantastic—very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend this place. Additionally, the restaurant was clean, and the prices were reasonable.

I just left the restaurant around 4 PM. About a month ago, I ordered a $5 pickup plate after seeing it advertised, as well as an $8 takeout plate in their pictures. However, when I arrived, they informed me that neither option was available anymore. To make matters worse, they didn’t even have any chicken ready, and it was already 4 PM. The cheapest plate they offered was $10. It’s not about affordability for me; I just can’t justify it when there are so many better options for Mexican food in the area. Dulce serves average food, and the portions are on the smaller side. I recommend sticking with places like La Candela, Celia's, or any other takeout spot instead.

We will start by saying that the food was very good. However, the dishes primarily featured pork and ground beef, which is expected for a Mexican restaurant. We had to ask twice for chips and salsa, and the service was subpar. Despite this, the quality of the food was good for a fast-casual establishment.

Spent 25 min. here on a weekday at 4. Needed a few items to round out the Mex dinner at home... Again, 25 min waiting for refried beans, Pico and yellow rice. While the food was fine, the wait was awful... Sorry, not sorry, going elsewhere next time.

We recently moved to freetown and had searched for a place where we could order authentic Mexican food. dulce is by far the best Mexican food I had since left California and her amazing taco truck. you eat is decently expensive and the portions are huge. the churros are also amazing. my man and I have ordered burritos and they were about the size of our heads. and the service was fast! we ordered 4 dinge and it was finished in 15 minutes. I recommend dulce to anyone looking for a real Mexican food. 5 stars, because we have no complaints.
