Waffle House - New Albany

Was their a couple of days ago around 6-7am on a cross country trip. Wanted to stop in and see what all the fuss was about. Food was good but the service was spectacular. Just wanted everyone to know that you cant get better service. Not very many places have this great of service…..my hats off to the lady helping us. Thank you..p.s. if i could remember my own wife’s birthday, or her name for that matter i would post it, But she was a petite mature woman……could very well have been the sweetest person i met on this journey.

We came here for lunch on Sunday 4/21/2024 at about 1:00. When we walked through the door, the place was filthy. Napkins and food scattered all over the floor, booths not cleared. It was pitiful. We almost left. We counted people working there were 8 and some were working at the counter area or cooking while others were just standing around talking. This was a group of younger woman with poor work ethics. We were greeted nicely when we got there, our waitress was nice, and food was good. By the time we left, the ladies finally got busy and started cleaning things up.

Wonderful staff and excellent food! We went out of our way on the way back from Arkansas to stay near this Waffle House so we could eat there again. Place is extremely clean and all staff are well trained and friendly. I wish I could remember our server's name as she was top notch! Lovely young woman of color with a brilliant smile! Just a great experience!Parking: Nice selection of parking.

It's good in general, the food is fresh and the coffee was very good. The tables and bathrooms look a little old, but to eat something quick and at a good price, it's worth it.
