We visited this restaurant when we were near mariahof. even if this place was quite quiet on a weekend night, we were pleasantly surprised by the elegant and upscale offered, which compared to almost all other restaurants in the...region of the server was quite patient with us and spoke English well to support those of us whose German lacked. I really want to return to a point so that I could experience this in the summer when it is in full blossom and more fresh ingredients are made available.
We had a booking by friends (the ones who lived in front of places) for 3 nights and appeared on Saturday to find only the chef /boss language English. the hotel was full and they didn't have space for us! we got into a private house 4km... equipped in a cellar with a family that didn't speak English! Once we were there, we tried to have a shower, but the drain was blocked and we almost flooded the apt. we had to ask the sohn who doesn't speak English to get a klempner, and we had only 15mn ready to prepare for our party. we had to go back to the bargain and could have stayed the next two nights! our attitude was if they could not give us in the night a room we need, we pay them no more money! sounds from other reviews, this place has made similar things earlier! avoid at all costs. I have never been treated like this in my last 35 years, at least 50% of my time to travel all over the world!!!
What a shame that such a beautiful place with good employees should be ruined by an arrogant rude owner. four of us have booked two rooms for a 4-day stay in august 2018 on the grand Prix weekend. we were confident that the rooms we had booked and paid a 50% payment would be available when we arrived. at our arrival gave us a friendly older men the keys to two rooms. we had booked a superior double room with balcony and a two-room family room with balcony. we got two small rooms without balcony. when we went back to the reception, the man said we had to talk to the “Bosse”. a younger man came to talk to us and said that these rooms were all they had, although we had shown him the pressure we had received from him directly by detailing the rooms we had booked. we told him that was unacceptable, but he insisted that these rooms were the ones we had booked! after a discussion he found a room that was somewhat better, but not on the standard we booked. at no time he offered any excuse or explanation just an arrogant attitude that the rooms were more than suitable. we said that we should have a discount if that was all he had and after a long discussion he offered a very insulting reduction that included the fee he had raised for parking in the parking space that is available for all guests free of charge. He said if we don't like it, we could go! because it was grand prix weeks everywhere was fully booked, so we had no choice but to accept the rooms. when we checked out, I asked him if he thought we should be an excuse and he said "apology, what is that " . he completely ruined our vacation with his unmutable and arrogant. on our return I have reviewed some reviews and found that he had done exactly the same thing that the year before to another unsuspecting customer. obviously it is his normal practice to completely disregard his guest bookings and simply fill his hotel as it fits him. think very carefully before they entrust this man with their holiday accommodation.
Austria is a nation where they generally eat well. also in supermarkets there are products that would be an unknown luxury in Germany, but in the rule eating in restaurants is always the same, good, but similar or identical. not here! there is an evolution of tradition that goes beyond this. for what concerns me, the result is not always perfect, but certainly interesting. a result also due to the high quality of the meat I could find in this restaurant. the quality of homemade bread is very interesting. but I have to make a note: as the courts are new, it would be useful to have a more comprehensive declaration, which is put on the table. the place is beautiful and I recommend it, but I feel that the anesthesia of flying is incessant.
