Kokono Neu Ulm - Neu-Ulm

The Kokono in Neu-Ulm leaves a mixed impression. On the one hand, the restaurant scores with attractive, modern furnishings and a pleasant atmosphere that invites you to linger. The ambience is stylish and clean, which reinforces the first positive impression. Unfortunately, the kitchen falls somewhat short of expectations. Although the menu offers a large selection of Asian dishes, the dishes often lack authenticity and sophistication. The sushi variants in particular seem carelessly prepared and taste rather average. The hot dishes are not bad, but by no means exceptional. The price-performance ratio is therefore not optimal, as the quality of the food does not always meet the high price level. The service was OK, but not outstanding. Although the employees were friendly, the process seemed a bit chaotic at times and the waiting times could have been shorter. Overall, Kokono is a restaurant that is visually impressive, but has room for improvement from a culinary perspective. It's fine for an occasional visit, but if you're looking for outstanding Asian cuisine, you probably won't find it here.

Wunderschönes Restaurant in einer unattraktiven Gegend. Das Essen ist günstig, aber nur durchschnittlich. Die Vorspeisen sind jedoch hervorragend. Beim Hauptgericht war der Reis kalt, das Gemüse sehr grob geschnitten und teilweise zäh. Die Jakobsmuscheln waren labberig, und der Seibling fehlte komplett auf dem Teller. Die Riesengarnele wurde in der Schale serviert, ohne dass Reinigungswasser oder Feuchttücher angeboten wurden, und die Saucen schienen fertig zu sein. Das Personal war aufmerksam und freundlich.
