What a delightful surprise! While traveling to the north, we decided to make a stop in Nesna to explore the area. We were unsure if we would find an open restaurant, but we were pleased to discover a friendly and welcoming staff along with an intriguing menu featuring local products. The cuisine was a blend of traditional dishes with international flair. The fish soup was delicious, and the walleye carpaccio was a pleasant surprise. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the pan-roasted salmon on seafood risotto, even though she can be quite particular about her food. Having dined at numerous Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, we were impressed by the quality of the food here considering the price. We particularly loved the bearnaise sauce made with local ice, butter, and tarragon. The steak and potatoes were cooked to perfection. The desserts were also a treat, with the apple tart and vanilla ice cream being a standout. Overall, a visit to this restaurant is highly recommended, and I look forward to returning in the future.
