Uptown Sports Bar @New Grand Hotel

The food at this restaurant was amazing, especially the beef dip which was the best we've ever had. However, the service was terrible. An unfriendly female server brought us water and beer, while a male server brought our food. We were never asked if our meal was good or if we needed anything else. Overall, we felt like second class citizens and will not be rushing back to this place.

Everything was going well until my food arrived at the restaurant. I had ordered the pasta special, but when it came out it was a small portion on a plate. I asked if it would have been a larger portion if I had ordered it from the regular menu and they confirmed that it would have been. It was disappointing because the food was actually delicious, but I can't go back to a place that tries to deceive its customers like that.

Go for the burger! Maybe the best burger I've ever had. Fries are delish too. Lots of choices for drinks and food, friendly service and nice atmosphere.

Very, very hospitable. The server went above and beyond and the food was excellent. I had been asking directions two days earlier to the washroom. Everything shut down with COVID. They welcomed me in to use theirs. Everything SO clean. So I brought my friends back for lunch.

As things start to be able to open again, huge props to these guys! The owner is always involved and great, his staff is top notch, friendly and fun to be around! Food is always consistent, fairly priced and super yummy! Thanks for always providing a great environment and experience.
