Mike's Place Pub - Nelson

The service at this restaurant is fantastic. I always appreciate the young, energetic student staff who take care of the food. They are responsible, courteous, friendly, and seem to really enjoy their work, which is refreshing. Hume's Mikes Place is a hidden gem in Nelson that shouldn't be missed. I highly recommend trying the borscht, it's very authentic. Don't forget to spread the butter on the bread - it's a must!

This restaurant is a must-visit in Nelson! You won't be disappointed. We were in Nelson for 4 nights and tried various places, but after our first meal here, we couldn't stay away! The menu has something for everyone. All dishes were incredibly delicious and homemade, with a quality that exceeded our expectations. Bravo to Mike's Pub! The staff and service were outstanding. We also ordered takeout a few times and it was the most efficient service we've ever experienced. The lady who took our orders was extremely polite, professional, and attentive. Every order came with all the right items. It's worth a trip to Nelson just to experience this perfection again. If you're looking to eat healthy for 4-5 days, the salads here were fresh and crispy, while the pasta tasted like it was made from scratch. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the veal was tender and flavorful.

This is a wonderful spot for dining and enjoying a drink. The staff is courteous and welcoming, and the ambiance is fantastic.

Pretty good pub with good food, reasonable prices and great atmosphere. We had some issues with our order and despite the waitress assuring she would make it up for the missing item on the bill, she didn't and it left a bit of a sour aftertaste. Otherwise, I would recommend this place if you're looking for greasy food and good drinks

Lots of games to choose from, very original reminds me of bars from back home. Good service and lots to choose from. I can't remember if the had happy hour though.
