Bidra med feedbackAnyone who visits Germany needs to experience a Brauhaus. This haus in Neckarsulm is not old but as soon as you step inside, it feels old, like an English dockside pub with a big difference, this Brauhaus is very large. The floor is solid old...wood with large wooden tables some of which have copper top surfaces, Two large copper beer brewing kettles dominate one end with a long bar at the other end. A tourist can just sit and gaze around. We were greeted and informed that every table was busy or booked, a sign of a good restaurant. Our waiter offered us a table which we could have for an hour and a half and we were seated. The menu stated beer 0,3 L and I ordered a beer. When it arrived it was 0,5 L. The menu was sufficiently extensive for our tastes and we ordered differing meals. The atmosphere inside the Brauhaus was wonderful, laughter, loud quiet conversation, music in the background and many large parties of people enjoying a Friday evening eating and drinking in typical German surroundings. It was so enjoyable, we visited again two nights later, a thing we seldom do as we like to se as many places as possible. Anyone visiting Neckarsulm- make a beeline for this Brauhaus, you will not be disappointed.
The restaurant has an huge open space, the dishes are really good and has a complete mune. The beers selection is excellent and home made too.
Friendly people. Basic and typical german food in a nice brewery. The food is served with their own beers. A lot of place to sit.
This has it all, good beers, very clean traditional interior, large tables, and rooms below ground level, spotlessly clean toilets, with soap and paper towels,Large Twin copper vessels on display for containing the brew in process, well it goes on,and of course,Food, good menu,so come on to Neckarsulm, near Audi car factory, you can book...the tour for the car factory, then chill out here with a few beers. The beers are not cheap, but very palletable.
It was a hot evening and we sat outside. Although the outdoor seating area is quite close to the road, it 's not too noisy. We 'd done a lot of cycling and the lads were hungry and thirsty. Time to tuck into to solid German food....I wasn 't too hungry so chose Flammkuchen spezial from the fuer den kleinen Hunger section, not knowing what Flammkuchen was. When it arrived, it looked like a pizza without the tomato sauce layer and was huge. Very tasty and I ate most of it. One of the lads had Schweinhaxe mit Sauerkraut and the other had Schwabenpfaennle (pork medallions, Maultasche and Spaetzle with cream sauce). Real man food. They were delighted with themselves. The service was good very attentive but not intrusive. Three decent meals, two pitchers of the dark beer, and a small Weizen came to €57.60. Very reasonable.
