Bidra med feedbackDelicious Punjabi cuisine that tastes like home-cooked food. The best option for picking up orders for home delivery. The rajma and chole dishes are especially tasty.
We visited the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with a group of four. The manager arranged for us to share a table with another group as there were no available tables for four. We ended up sitting close to the hand wash area where there was a hole in the floor. Despite a small insect falling onto our table, we were thankful that it happened before our food arrived. We ordered Chole-Bhature, puri bhaji, chole samosa, and simple samosa, which we found to be delicious. The bill came out to around $260. Overall, the food was good but it may be best to consider taking the food to go rather than dining in.
The restaurant is located just before Sucrose Restaurant in Vashi, situated on a corner. Finding parking here can be difficult. I visited this outlet twice last week - once to pick up samosas for a home party and for lunch on the second visit. The samosas were typical Punjabi-style North Indian samosas, and the tamarind chutney was excellent. For lunch, we tried the batura chola, masala kulcha with chole, dal makhni, raita, and sweet lassi. The batura cholas were delicious and the kulchas were more like filled Naan rather than the baked kulcha version. A single kulcha combo is sufficient for one person. They also offer other snacks like pakodas, vada pao, etc. There is seating available, but you may need to share a table as it can get crowded during lunch and dinner times.
Went there on a sunday afternoon for lunch and we were a group of four. We managed to get a seat as the manager asked a person occupying a table od four to shift and share with another table that had only 2 . Basically be prepared to sit with strangers if you are coming here. The table that we got was near the hand wash area and there is a huge hole in the false ceiling above it - a small insect fell from it on one corner side of our table but thankfully before our food came. We ordered 2 plates of chole bhature, puri bhaji, chole samosa and plain samosa. The bill was around 260 bucks. The food is pretty good. Worth a visit or best it to take away and have the food at home.
The resturant is a little ahead of shalimar resturant in vashi and is at a corner. Getting a parking here is difficult.Visited this outlet twice last week- once to get samosas packed for a home party and for lunch on the second time. The samosas were typical north indian punjabi style samosas and the imli chutney is very good. For lunch we had tried batura chola, masala kulcha with chole, dal makhni, raita and sweet lassi. The batura cholas are very nice. Kulcas are more like the stuffed naan type than the baked kulcha version and a single kuclcha combo is enough for one person. they have several other snacks like pakodas, wada pao etc. There is some seating place available but you might have to share the table as lunch and dinner gets crowded.
