I love the buffet, breakfast is really good. Conch stew for breakfast was awesome!!

I was always a fan of the buffet even before they made the change over. But yesterday was my last visit to the market place. We arrived before 10 and the hostess was like why they still take y'all money and see the time so we were like what? Then we were back and.forth because we got receipt but no band. The food was okay but one minute our waiter was there and the next he disappeared and saw him no more so we had ask the waiter.for.drinks very disappointed). Then the guest of the hotel waited forever at the pasta station to be served noone never came they say in the backroom as though the guests weren't even there I really felt bad for them so they resorted to eating pizza and then left. And lastly they broke down stations at least 20 minutes to closing saw guests coming and didn't even acknowledge their presence by saying we soon close or nothing very unprofessional). If you say you close at 11 you close at 11 then you start breaking down. Last night was very distasteful. Only two male staff was professional, the others thumbs down. Fan and customer lost for good. Service must improve like how the old buffet was or else customers will continue to be.lost. The competition may cost a bit more the service is superb.

Breakfast was the only good thing at the buffet. Eat at your own risk for lunch and dinner. The resorts restaurant had good food. But you needed to book them ahead of your trip. The buffet and outside grill where open most of the times, but they had limited food. Our last night the buffet at the Melia had a mystery rice and hot dogs as dinner. We ending up walking to the Bahamar next door and paying for a real buffet.

The food was below average for breakfast. Variety not as much variety as other resorts we have been too. Coffee,very light almost no taste.The coffee tasted watered down. For a resort who claims to be upscale. This breakfast was a zero. very small buffet area. the same layout as it predecessor resort.
