Bidra med feedbackFood was barely recognizable. Not good, will not return.
Great show, wished it was in every room. But the performance was amazing and they were very ready to make pictures! The food was great! The main room had a funny smell.
For years Suzy’s has been an oasis in the desert of Nashville’s LGBTQ “strip.” A safe, upscale, classy, private, inclusive dinning experience for Nashville’s LGBTQ community. I last dined there 8-10 months ago and noticed a decline. This past weekend has ended my desire to make Suzy’s part of my Nashville restaurant choices. The service was HORRIBLE, the employees are not professional (in dress, demeanor, and attitude (bar tender exluded-he saved our evening! , the drag dinning is a pitiful, annoying, distracting tourist trap that most locals despise (go to PLAY for that! , the reservations were messed up upon arrival and several tables were given away before our arrival that should have been reserved. The food remains wonderfully fantastic, but no longer enough for me to overlook all the other flaws. Sadly, I will not return to this once rock-solid bastion of the Nashville LGBTQ community.....as it unfortunately isn’t remotely close to that any longer.
The drag dinner far exceeded what I hoped it would be! We had a bachelorette party group of 10 so I made reservations. The host was very welcoming, our server was FANTASTIC, and the queens were so amazing. That alone would have been enough, but on top of that the food was delicious. We ordered a huge variety of appetizers, sushi, and entrees and everything was so so so good! I'm vegan and was worried that there might not be something for me, but the tofu teriyaki vegetable bowl was marked vegan and I loved it! If you are on the fence about going to Suzy Wong's, please do it! You won't be disappointed, I swear.
We had an absolute blast! The Drag brunch was great. The only thing I wish I would have done differently is the time slot I booked for the reservation. When I booked there was only a 2PM slot for our party size. The restaurant closes PROMPTLY at 3 PM. Once seated we had about 10 minutes until last call for drinks, and we had to kind of rush through eating. Still give Suzy Wong’s a great rating, but they might want to re-think allowing 2PM reservations.
