Rumours East - Nashville

I always enjoy dining at Rumours East. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because the restaurant was quite warm on the hot day/evening that I visited.

The service was a bit sluggish, but our server was very friendly. The food and drinks were outstanding!

The restaurant had a few local beers available, but I would have preferred if they were draft beers served in a chilled glass. However, aside from that, it was a perfectly quiet spot for having intimate conversations with your loved one.

My three friends and I had a great experience at Rumours East last Saturday night. I picked the spot for the beautiful backyard/back patio and the good selection of happy hour drinks and pricing. We also ate dinner there as well, and every dish was delicious. I personally had a salmon dish with an Asian influence and it was great. My other friends had the burger, the Lamb, and a pork chop and everyone was very pleased. I also LOVED the house/happy hour red that is a blend and was offered at $3 a glass. Great deal. The service was attentive and everything went smooth. We all highly enjoyed it and I will continue to come back :

The food was divine and our server was excellent. However, the manager decided to close the restaurant early, which is not uncommon, but instead of allowing patrons to finish out their meals, she rushed everyone out. It was quite odd. Having worked in the restaurant industry while in college, I understand closing the kitchen early or having a last call for alcohol, but to want everyone out before 9:00 pm on Saturday night is not the best restaurant management procedure. Last call for food and drinks was 8:30. She actually came around to everyone's tables and told them they were closing early because it wasn't crowded enough. We didn't even bother ordering dessert or additional drinks. We do not plan to come back nor do we recommend this restaurant, but the food was superb! The owner needs to be aware of how things are being run. Such a strange experience.
