L'antica Taverna - Napoli

Proprietor is courting us as all the others do. We decided to sit down. My brother ordered shrimps without calamari and it was absolutely dry and tasteless. I got my basic pasta al olio. It was so bad. I would not recommend it to anyone. I did tell them How it should have been but the were arguing . Also demanded service charge of 2 euro, We left them just one, and even this was too much.

Siamo stati al ristorante ieri sera e non avremmo potuto chiedere di più. La pasta alla genovese e i paccheri con pesto, cozze e calamari erano deliziosi, abbinati alla gentilezza del personale.

We tried pasta with pesto basilico and shrimps and grilled swordfish with enormous shrimps. Both very tasty!!

A small family restaurant in an alley off Via Chiaia. We had fried mozzarella, steak, caponata (ratatouille) and a couple of other dishes. We could watch through from our table how the chef prepared them. The waitress was very friendly. The food was delicious. The prices, very reasonable.
