Del Mare - Napoli

We found this place by chance and we definitely underestimated it. The food was excellent (although the pasta portion was a bit small)! We loved the fried alici and the octopus salad! However, it is truly unacceptable to be given a simple piece of paper as the bill . True lack of professionalism. What was also unacceptable was the waiter making fun of us not knowing enough Italian.

We had a very nice and surprising lunch at this cute little local beach. The staff was friendly and passionated and recommended us good things from the card, which turned out to be delicious. Only advice we could give is to give a menu with prices, so that you know what you can expect. (Our lunch turned out to be 93 euros, for 2 dishes 1 bottle of wine.

The restaurant is set in an amazing spot overlooking the Naples’ bay and Mount Vesuvius, few tables literally few meters away from the little beach and Marina; Reaching the place through a narrow winding street is a nice experience on its own and when you get there you will have the immediate feeling that the location could encompass all the elements you’d expect for a perfect informal seafood dinner experience in Naples...and you will not be disappointed. The staff members are all extremely kind and helpful , a selection of typical dishes is available primarily seafood based but also some tasty options for non-fish eaters, we got some fantastic fresh mixed seafood starters followed by some of the best “seafood paccheri pasta” we’ve ever tasted , amazing gnocchi alla Sorrentina and spaghetti with clams, all the food was very testy and fresh and served in generous portions with perfect timing; furthermore the staff offered a taste of a typical pasta with pepper and tomato sauce pasta they just cooked a part from the fact it was simply sublime that was a very appreciated gesture. Last but not the least the price was absolutely fair and considering the location and the quality of the food we were pleasantly surprised, if anything I’d suggest the management to make sure a menu with prices is given to the customers in fact as we weren’t given any we were a bit hesitant at first knowing that sometimes this could lead to bad experiences. In conclusion we can’t wait to have the chance to come back again, thanks to the magic mix of many positive aspects this is definitely among one of the best place we have ever been; we definitely couldn’t see any reason for some of the bad reviews somebody wrote, absolutely recommended.

We stopped during our walk by the sea. good but with prices above average. .pay the place because in front of the sea (which deserves.) courteous waiters and available.

Pizza leaves to be desired, the size of the pizza and the frame not worthy of a Neapolitan pizza go, to the attentive and precise staff despite it is only a lady between cash and out at the tables stars to the fish and the main stars of potatoes for the price above the average
