Il Bascilico was recommended to us by a friend we know from Napoli and it did not let us down! The food is so reasonably priced and the house wine was delicious- great food!

It was a wet cold night and we were heading to the restaurant but it looked like it was closing, so we hesitated outside the owner saw us and welcomed us in. We both ordered the “meat pasta” and I got no meat and my dining partner got 1 piece! Bill was 38 Euros, they struggled to break a 50E note to give us 12E change which seemed a little surprising, and had to send a member of staff out to get change. Very limited drinks menu.

It was a delightful May Day, and a long walk from the Capodimonte museum past the lively demonstration in Piazza Plebescito, moving inexorably to a lunch I was very much looking forward to: wild boar. It did not disappoint... perfectly marinated and sprinkled with rosemary. The octopus carpaccio starter was flavorful and delicate. Both absolutely perfect for nice holiday lunch. The service is as excellent as the food, and the al fresco dining allows marvelous people watching opportunities.

Good food, staff more than willing to help. Their sea food pasta was good. They didn't have everything on the menu, but whatever was on offer was tasty nevertheless.
