Ming Dynasty Restaurant - Nanton

I recently visited Nanton, a charming small town with impressive grain elevators, and stopped into Ming Dynasty for a meal. This restaurant was an obvious choice with its lovely atmosphere and friendly local family running the place.

I arrived just before the Friday lunch buffet was ready at this restaurant. The food was served in small batches, which was a smart choice and ensured that everything was very fresh. Overall, the food was straightforward and tasty. The dumplings were especially excellent, as they were hand-made on site and quite large. The deep fried items were what you would expect from deep fried food, so be cautious. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

I visited the restaurant with my family. The lunch buffet was decent, but some of the items were not fresh. I would consider dining there again if there were no other options available.

We enjoyed the food we ordered on the phone and went for pickup. However, when we went in to pick up, we were not sure about the quality of the food would be like. The restaurant seems a little run down but the food was OK. Not sure whether I will order from them again. Cleanliness and appearance is important to me.

We have stopped here a number of times and have enjoyed the food. We have only arrived for the buffet once, so generally order from the menu. We were the only customers until people started arriving for the buffet. For the days when we are driving up Hwy 2, this place is consistently open to feed us.
