I practically never write reviews, but now I had too.. Wauw, we spend our last evening of our family vacation in Nantes. It was one of the best dinners we had in France. It looks fancy, it is fancy, but very welcoming for our kids as well. The staff was fantastic. Adeline welcomed us at a beautiful table and made a fantastic wine and dessert recommendation! : Food drinks came fast, but not too fast. And every single dish was delicious! Adeline even noticed our son was hungry and asked if his food should maybe come with our appetizers! And when the bread basket was empty, she filled it up again! The other male waiter (don’t know his name was great as well. He took the kids inside to let them hold a living lobster.. This place made the end of our vacation perfect!! Thanks to the service (Adeline and the other waiter and the good food, briefly the whole team! We will definitely go back when in Nantes again!
The lobster is delicious. nothing else... but the lobster is worth a star. Bad points: Risotto is not tasty at all The waiters at not very attentive. Very hard to get their attention. I ate my whole dinner with only a fork since they weren 't interested in the fact that I was never given a knife or a spoon. But it 's ok for a risotto, I guess. The lobster didn 't come with the usual thin fork to get the meat out. Hard to eat. According to the menu, one of the dishes we had should have come with four scallops. We only got three and extremely few legumes (vegetables). That dish was very bad value for money. Should have ordered a whole lobster for the same price instead. The servicing was extremely slow. We asked for l 'addition (the bill) many times. Waiters were chatting with each other, preparing the tables for the next day (was nearly closing time), or playing with their phones. !!! When the bill finally arrived, they had added two additional items that we neither ordered nor had. Was hard to spot for us since we don 't know that many French words, but something seemed suspicious about the total amount, so I checked it in detail. When I pointed it out, the waitress took the bill with a short sorry and disappeared very (very) quickly. A genuine mistake? Maybe. It then took ages until the corrected bill arrived. And nobody seemed interested to actually take the payment. My wife got so impatient that we went to the bar, where the card machine was. The staff still ignored us for a full five minutes before someone finally allowed us to pay.
