Sushi Ryu - Nanaimo

We waited almost a half hour before our drink order was taken. It was an hour and half in the restaurant before our food arrived. Our server Hannah did not seem to value or respect our time. We witnessed tables arrive after us leave before us. Overall the food was good, but the service was beyond poor.Kid-friendliness: Not child friendly, the table setup doesn’t support having infants

This is an average sushi place. We had the lunch Bento boxes and others had ramen. Flavors were ok and portion sizes were average. Service was pleasant the odd time our table was visited. It seemed like we're were forgotten as we had to ask/remind the servers on a few occasions that we needed portions of our meal as they were missing, utensils, and water.

Sushi is delicious and really fresh. The rolls have a generous portion of fish. Always love this place for takeout!

This is a nice place to get decent sushi. My Dynamite roll bento was tasty.The server was very friendly and did a great job.The atmosphere is bright and open, with music that matched the sushi.Tables were all nicely done up and looked clean.Nothing was perfection , but I would go again for sure.Parking: There is a small parking lot, maybe 6-8 spots? I had plenty of spots to choose from, but at a busy time, it might be difficult to park at the restaurant, though I 'm sure you could find parking a short walk away.

Oh. My. Gosh. If you love flavour, start the car!! We had the red delight and the awesome roll. Heaven in my mouth. So good!! Best sushi we’ve had in Nanaimo. And we’re foodies, so we’re picky.
