New China Restaurant - Nanaimo

Greasy flavourless Chinese food. What more can I say. There are a million Chinese food places around here, all are better than this one except for The Mayflower which is rock bottom.

Ordered take out on a Saturday night and picked it up 20 minutes later. The food was hot when we got home and fine. Nothing over the top, standard North American Chinese fare, at least what we ordered. I would order takeout from here again.

New China is a very convenient restaurant to be able to take out.The tastes of dishes are not bad and the volume is enough. The service is good, friendly. The inside of restaurant is clean and modern Chinese taste.The price is reasonable. We Just tried very common Chinese dishes. Other authentic Chinese dishes would be also delicious. We want to try them next time.

We stopped by on Friday night, this restaurant is clean, food is fresh and well presented. Our server is nice and very polite. Free open wifi with fast speed :)

We ordered from the Chinese menu, which featured authentic Chinese dishes. Our picks: item no. 142 Shredded Pork and our second item was the Pan Fried Pork Ribs with Cumin. Our palette is more toward southern Chinese cuisine, so we avoided the spicy items characteristic of northern Chinese regions. We learned that they have two chefs in the kitchen, each specializing in one of the northern and southern dishes. So, we were very eager to try the dishes we ordered.Food smelled and tasted amazing. The portion is big for two people, so we kept leftovers were enough for two or three meals.When it comes to Chinese food in town, New China is the real deal!
