Huong Lan - Nanaimo

We are in Nanaimo on a autumn camping trip, and have been looking for something fast, warm and easy for dinner. Vietnamese sounded perfect, and Huong Lan had great reviews. We dived at 5:30 a.m. at a Thursday night, there were many diners... common meals, but no problem getting a table. The service was super fast, and all the servers that helped us were really warm and friendly. We had a combo meal on rice (lemon grass chicken and grilled pork), a sequence of salad rolls, spring rolls and a huge bowl of beef pho. Each dish was fantastic, and there was plenty of food for both of us, with a large bowl of left Pho for morning lunch. This is a great place for a simple weekend dinner we will certainly be back on our next trip through Nanaimo.

I heard a few years from this restaurant and I forgot to try it. Hands down the best meal I had for ever!!! Very recommended!!! The lemongrass chicken is phenomenal!!! And the Pho was amazing too! We're coming back! Over and over.

I am disappointed to write this review. I have been a loyal customer for years and this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I always order the #54 dish. However, the last three times I have been here, my food has been cold, except for the spring roll which was oddly very hot. I ignored it the first two times, but this time I asked the waitress if they cook the meat fresh or if they reheat it. She assured me that it was made fresh to order and offered to warm it up for me. Unfortunately, I don't have time to keep sending my meal back and complaining every time I come here after my break, so I have decided not to return.

They were aware of the new BC immunization card needed for indoor use. asked for evidence before entering. Very clean, delicious food. Staff are happy attentive and very pleasant. It's our favorite lunch station.

We had a terrific meal at Huong Lan today. My Pho Sate was delicious with a very flavourful broth and plenty of the rare beef. My wife very much enjoyed the Lemon Grass Chicken and Pork Bun (vermicelli noodle). Service was excellent. Very friendly and...quick without being rushed.
