Bidra med feedbackPerfect autumn day. After a nice exploration of the island, sat on the deck of the pub and three of us and shared 3 dishes from the happy hour menu all really delicious. Service was great. Thank you. And thanks to our server that I can't forget my phone on the table. Very appreciated.
Interesting menu and all selections were nicely prepared and very tasty. The service was excellent and a real compliment for the big venue and the food
With regard to the location, the Dinghy Dock Pub is wonderful on a sunny summer day. Taking the small ferry from Nanaimo and being on the water in the floating pub was thrilled. Unfortunately, the setting was the highlight. We sat on the deck... overlooking the beautiful views of the Beaufort Mountains of Vancouver Island, which was great. Service was bad (extremely slow and not very professional). Our waitress was pleasant, but not attentive to our orders or our needs. After a long wait, she finally came to our order. We gave her both our beverage orders and our food orders at the same time. We asked for water that had only arrived after our drinks orders (and that it neglected, even if it was asked during our lunch). We both ordered the crab cakes and one side Yamsfries. After a certain delay she came back to advise us that they were from crab cake (and that was only 12:30! I then ordered the Calamari and my friend the Halibut fish chips. After a long waiting period, the Yamsfries arrived. Finally (we had finished the Yam-Fries, the net came. The Kalamari wasn't very good I was afraid. The squeeze rings were hard and the coating was floury and inconspicuous. She brought the wrong order (the Halibut memory to my friend who said just bring me the Calamari also (not to know how bad it was at this point). While we enjoyed outing, we can certainly not recommend food or service.
Kayaked on a beautiful summer day to Dingy Dock. The kayaks stick to their private dock. Waitress quickly found us a table outside with shadows. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our server Kim was very good. The fish tacos and the jug...Salad were fantastic! Very delicious with good portion sizes! A very pleasant and pleasant lunch” Be back soon!
On a very hot Tuesday evening we went to the pub for dinner. Due to a computer issue it took 2 hours for us to get our food. No visit from the manager. No offer for free appies or drinks. Only an apology from a...very nice but over worked server on her 1st day working there. We ate our dinner very quickly so we could get the heck out of there and catch the next ferry back to Nanaimo. It would have been tolerable if they had some live music. Disappointing experience.
