The Grumpy Monk Broadway - Myrtle Beach

Excellent Food Service! We came here as our last meal before heading home. We sat outside on the back patio overlooking the lake and Broadway at the Beach attractions. It was raining with a nice breeze. The patio is covered and offers amazing views. We really enjoyed our experience. The staff and food were amazing. Portion-Size and quality are excellent. They have a wide variety of various items to order, from building your own salad to fresh sushi to burgers wraps. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing. Our waiter was excellent, accommodating and attentive. The only thing to know is like most places we encountered in Myrtle Beach is they do offer a “Cash Price” and a “Credit Card” price. So expect a small surcharge for using your card vs paying in cash. Tips left using a credit card to pay your bill are also subject to this small fee (fyi). Overall, it was a very nice experience and well worth a visit.

A fine meal experience today for lunch. Service was Good. Food was as expected. BBQ Sammich was a little messy, but flavor was fine. Great beer list. Thanks for stocking ciders and sours, not just 40 IPA’s. The location is inside Broadway at the Beach, so parking is far. But we knew this and parked as close as possible.Vegetarian options: They have a BYO salad and more on the menu for veggie folks!Kid-friendliness: Kid menu and family environment.Wheelchair accessibility: Everything inside was on the first level.

Loved the food, atmosphere and live music. I can’t wait to got back! Out server was on her last day of training and she did great! They have plenty of gluten free options and the sushi was delicious.Dietary restrictions: Good gluten free options!

I had the All American burger and added jalapeños. The jalapeños was too thick but my burger was cooked perfectly. The live music and mini arcade were nice additions for entertainment for everyone.Kid-friendliness: The chicken tenders were larger than expected and very meaty.

A quick note, this place fills quickly, be prepared for an hour or more wait.Food was alright, I got the scallops in the seafood platter. Fried bay scallops (the small ones), fries, and coleslaw. Everything was good, nothing special. The fries were actually my favorite part.Another member of my party got a salad, and it was HUGE. Good salad too.
