Taco Mayo - Mustang

I worked at the one in Yukon when I was a teenager and to see they still use fresh ingredients is awesome. Their tortillas are made in store and their queso is the best queso you will ever find at a fast food restaurant.

Half the time, the food and service at this location is amazing. The other half, it's subpar. I've loved Taco Mayo since I was a teen, but they need to work on their consistency. Often, the potato locos are fresh and crisp. This last visit, I requested the potato locos extra crisp and got soggy locos instead. They went the wrong direction with that request. On other occasions, items from our order were missing.

The food is as wonderful as I remember it. Tacos and burritos with actual substance to them! The employees are always friendly, cooking fresh food, as well as providing prompt service and a clean atmosphere.

I didn't receive any sauce with my order despite requesting fire sauce twice, once when I placed my order and again at the drive-thru. This has been a recurring issue at this particular location. I would not recommend wasting your time at this place as there seems to be a lack of urgency in getting orders right.

Taco Mayo has always been my go-to fast food Mexican restaurant, but I am becoming frustrated with their decision to close the dining room for seating after 3pm. I used to support them as much as possible, but now I am reconsidering because by the time I get home, the food is soggy and unappetizing. If they don't open the dining room back up, they will continue to lose my business.
