Part of Historic Hotels of Switzerland, the Muensterhof has lots of charm and is run by the same family for a very long time. Food is great, but the current owner/chef worked in the best hotels. Very cosy rooms and extremely comfortable beds. It is part of hotels ideal for motor bikers and very close to the Italian border.
Excellent service, nice food and deserts, and reasonable prices for new year's eve. I'd recommend it without hesitation!
The building is elegant from outside, in practical interior, not modern and not ancient, unique and simple. eating is good and easy. the pralins especially and tasty. a safer value, even if no culinary high flights are to be expected.
Very good a local speciality and an excellent crisp salad (all really good the salatsauce) pity that it was such a =08/15 sauce that they can buy in any normal business. all the effort he gives for the salat is lost to me the sauce.Entrecôte with pommes frites. and crawling butter. derecôte was tough, pommes very good. crimped butter not homemade (think I) .... pity. (see picture ... 2nd piece crumbled butter) a little more upside in the kitchen and it would be a pure palate joy;-) courrage ...
