Clamshell Diner - Muscatine

The view of the sunset to see some eagles flying around was very nice. It is a beautiful hotel with an open concept. It didn't feel comfortable and warm. I felt like I was watched in the hair of a strange Sichos over the river that shot me at any time during our wonderfully prepared Valentine's dinner. I know it was just me, but I would have preferred not to be so open. The Riley I ordered was wonderfully prepared. I've ever eaten myself of treats as long as I could. The best steak I had in a very long time. Wonderful, political waiting staff. I really lived my experience, just felt strange, out in the open is everything. Beautiful and tasteful interior.

Excellent service, excellent food and an excellent atmosphere. During my last business trip to Muscatine, I was treated as a guest of the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce Industry at Maxwell for lunch. I ordered the page Caesar Salad and the Scratch-Made soup of the day (Beef Stew of any kind w/ mushrooms). My host ordered the Berry Salad with Grilled Chicken. The dishes themselves were prepared and beautifully presented and the aroma and taste of my soup was incredible. The Caesar Salad was also not disappointed and my host also finished every bite of his meal. 5 out of 5 stars and wants to come back in the near future!

Expected expectations While I was with The Merrill, I was led by the staff to Maxwells when I checked in. When Veteran of many hotel restaurants and not always impressed, I went to Maxwells to have a look before I went to my room. What I saw was a very well designed dining area, very new and excellent. The bar itself was shiny, charming and aesthetic. I went back to my room, had a quick training at the fitness center, went for a nice long walk along the river and then went to the Warrior Crossfit for a WOD. When I came back to the hotel, I went back to my room, showered and down to Maxwells. I was very happy to come when I did how the restaurant began to fill. I went to the bar and sat down and took a few minutes to the ambience. The bartender who served me was a pleasure to talk to him, and I also arrested a conversation with some people at the bar who also lived in Merrill. As you can imagine from all my activities this day, I was faded, so I came with an appetite. Nevertheless, in the last few days I had consumed some food. That said Maxwells was a perfect place to have a meal. The food was very well presented, had exactly the right portion size and it was very high quality. I started with one of the salads on the menu, a harvest salad that was composed of local products. The portion size was exactly right and the ingredients were very fresh and high quality. My salad consisted of field green, roasted beds, citrus, goat cheese, candied pistachios with a slight coating of apple wine vinaigrette. This was a very appealing and tasteful salad. Next was the main and the side. Please note that some of the al la carte power supplies are served and have some pages on the board. The main dish was a summer feature, an amazingly light and tasteful pimple bowl approx. 7-8 ounces with a citrus vinaigrette, with slightly sawed mixed vegetables. This dish was top-notch, as an angler, I caught and ate pimples shortly after the catch. That was fresh and not fishy. Pickeral itself is a light and fluffy fish and should be gently prepared as it was at Maxwell. You know what they're doing in the kitchen. My side was absolutely delicious creation, grilled and slightly carburized asparagus with pecan smoked bacon, roasted paprika, with a slight drop of balm. Wow simply amazing, Maxwells is the perfect companion for the hotel as it is an extension of the high standard that defines the Merrill.

Excellent service to detail your breakfast. Brisket Pass was delicious for the eyes and the taste buds. I appreciate the kind prohibition.

Our friends and family had an amazing time at Maxwell's. Everything we ate and drank from beginning to end exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredible, taking care of our large party and having everything out to us in great timing without sacrificing quality. We will definitely be returning.
