Bidra med feedbackAfter the visit to the Archaeological Park we found a place in this restaurant without looking at reviews and without a reservation. Impeccable welcome from the always friendly staff during lunch and 5 minutes to prepare the table in one of the internal rooms. Very rich menu between sea and land and, being in Ostia, we chose the first option. I had some doubts about the continuation of lunch when the waiter, who was also very kind, took the order from memory: sautéed mussels, fried baby octopus and crispy leek with balsamic vinegar, spaghetti with clams, monument maltagliati and 2 glasses of falanghina. Bread did not arrive and dishes did not arrive at the same time: first the baby octopus and, on request, the sauté. Then a plate of spaghetti but they weren 't ours, then (always on request) the 2 glasses. After a while 2 monuments arrive but obviously only one was too many. After 10 minutes the spaghetti arrived and we practically took turns eating the first course. But let 's get to the praise after the criticism: the frying was excellent and light, the mussels were good, too bad it was missing a bit of toasted bread (or even fresh bread) for a sumptuous slipper . The spaghetti cooked very al dente was good but not very good and (perhaps due to the delay) was a little detached from the sauce) but the maltagliati alla monument were excellent and plentiful: simply very tasty. It 's a shame about the misunderstandings: we know that on Sundays, despite the experience and the many waiters, there can be a problem but this damages both the customer and the restaurateur. Prices perhaps a little above average but still it 's worth trying, not on Sunday: and maybe that 's what I 'll do

After making a reservation, 6 people went for lunch at around 1pm. From the person who I presume was the owner, in order not to create problems in the kitchen, we were told that the first courses would be served first (waiting time around 20 minutes) and followed by the second courses. After at least half an hour, four of us had the honor of enjoying the first course while I and another person (who only had a second course and side dish) also had to wait for everyone to finish eating the first course. When my coveted fried calamari only arrived, in addition to these there were also prawns. I politely asked the waiter to rectify. Naturally the dish, always the same, returned to me without shrimp but as sparse as ever because what had been removed had not been integrated. Once the second course was finished, the side dishes were still not on the table and we asked for the preparation to be stopped because it no longer made sense to eat the side dish separately. The owner made amends by saying that he had forgotten to pass the order to the kitchen. I pointed out to him that the prawns removed from my plate could be replaced by a few more pieces of squid: he justified himself by saying that the portion of squid was the right one and that the prawns are added later when the dish is ready to be served. Too bad that my neighbor's portion of calamari alone completely filled her little Flemish girl. Even though we had declined the offer of a plate of fried calamari to make amends, he wanted to bring them to the table anyway and there, untouched, they remained. What can I say: even if the lunch had been gourmet, I didn't appreciate it, it went awry due to the owner's behavior and I felt cheated. Never to see each other again
Terrible service. It took them more than an hour to serve us, as well as the tables on the side. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €30–40 Food: 3 Atmosphere: 2
