Bidra med feedbackWe ordered the mixture barbecue vegetables and were not disappointed, large amount and quality meat. The waitress was friendly and took the time to advise us. Great wine. Good band music. It was my birthday. My wife secretly told the waitress. I blown candles and had a really good desert and they offered us! We would really recommend this restaurant!
This was recommended to us by our guide, and the advertised tourist menu said 439 Pesos (about £11) for a 3 course meal we thought was very reasonable. The first course was actually just an empanada (i.e. a small pasty), for the second course... we both chose varieties of chicken. That came with just a few potatoes on the plate, nothing else. We chose an ice cream for dessert, that was just one slip. In the time they had added a fabulous cover fee, we gave us for the water, the (delicious) freshly squeezed orange, and the one cup of tea, the bill came to 1.220 pesos (e.g. £15 per), and to cover that the bill was firmly stamped “Service tip not included”. All this would have existed, it was not for the fact that the service was slow. I guess you can do much better in San Martin de los Andes than here.
Posta Criolla is a good example of the Patagonia style asado or grilled meat. My wife and I were in San Martine at the Le Village Hotel last week that Jack Trout International had organized for us as part of our fishing trip, which was glorious by the way. Anyway, beef and lamb are delicious here. The meat is grilled over charcoal. We ordered a mix grill with pork ribs, pork chops, beef and lamb very tasty with salad and wine at good prices with good service. Pay attention to the order as the parts are large. We recommend the restaurant for asado.
Nice food for reasonable price with an extremely pleasant service. Although we manage to communicate in Portignol, the staff did everything to speak English to us. I'd go back to this restaurant.
We arrived just before 9pm thinking perhaps we were too early, but we noticed there was one group of 8 10 present. We checked the menu and decided we would stay. Eventually we received a ‘nod of approval’ that it would be ok for us to...sit at our table of choice. Instinct suggested I check the time and 12 minutes 38 seconds later a waitress arrived with menus. Before I had a chance speak she was GONE. It was very much All Downhill from this moment on. We eventually got the ubiquitous bread and dip ‘freebie. By now other customers were arriving plus two new staff ..unfortunately they seemed to be assigned to the other side of the Restaurant. Some 11 minutes passed before the next visit to our table and we made sure we were ready to order. We ordered a salad , a pasta dish with specific sauce, and my breaded chicken dish plus a water. The wine we choose was not available so opted for the next best which as it happened was an appropriate choice ..”Del fin Del Munro..”. The end of the World ! The Salad arrived so perfectly divided as to suggest each portion was carefully selected from some other large container. The oil and vinaigrette arrived later by the late slow route. Suggest more Green lettuce and much less of the other components. The pasta dish was good and unfortunately for Me my chicken was switched and I received the meat carne. I should have sent it back but given the hour and what would have been an unbelievable wait I decided to let things be. Should have sent it back as I spent much of the night visiting the bathroom. I noted the switch to the waitress and kind of them to charge me for the cheaper pollo. Will I Return not with the many other options available in San Martin de Los Andes.
