Bidra med feedbackWe chose La Querencia opposite Plaza 9 de Julio, but were very disappointed. The waiter was arrogant and impatient to take orders, although few guests had arrived. He seemed unwilling to explain the menu that is badly created and difficult to read. The foods were only acceptable. We drank a good bottle of wine, that was the ONLY thing that saved the evening.
Disastrous. Tourist trap. Avoid Avoid!! We arrived at 9:10, at what time were 6 tables occupied. We sat down and ordered: an antipasto (plate of cold meat and vegetables), followed by a pizza. We were completely ignored. Other tables arrived, they were served and their food came quickly. Our food didn't come. At 10:15 the restaurant was half full, all locals were served and eat. Our plate of cold antipasti came at 10:20, over an hour after the order. Then we waited for the pizza. In the meantime, other customers had arrived, be served amd get their food. At 10:45 we had been there for over 1.5 hours, the local customers had arrived, eaten and left. So we gave up, got the bill for our antipasto and we left. PS: the antipasto was disgusting: the vegetables were just from a can, and the ham was cheap and gristy. This place is a demolition and a tourist trap. Avoid!!
We had some fries, salads and galleto. Wauw, that was one of the most delicate chicken dishes I ever tried! Absolutely recommended, even the waiters were nice and it is cheap.
Had the galeto gratinado with fries and an salate, and absolutely loved it. the hew was very juicy and tasteful, we wished we had time to come back and have another night! also a wonderful ice for dessert. when the bill... came, we were surprised by the low price for all these mouth water eating, one must try!
Our guide took us up to the main plaza area for dinner. He ordered sweet apple and chard in a cheese sauce for side plates. I opted for the suriba ? fish, advertised as like catfish. It was a more plump and delicious fish than...that. The portion was quite ample. A friend ordered an Argentinian wine which was crisp and light. Lemon ice cream scoops polished off a great meal. Locals evidently know the place. We arrived at the 2000 opening. When we left after 2200 the entire restaurant was full, a testament to great food and good prices. This was a great first dining experience in Argentina.
