I ate an explosion here! I chose the “mid-day menu” that “only” me 12€ for a delicious dish, a starter and paid a drink. our server was beautiful (tbh I am kind of hook, read the bad reviews here nevertheless, I really enjoyed eating of previous review updated on 2022-08-25

Has very interesting options and our meals were delicious. it is a bit on the expensive side, with respect to the size of the portion.

Our waiter was so rude, from the reception to the payment that it ruined the evening. eating was good, but his attitude made me think he might be pissed in it or something. when we wanted to pay, they did not accept mastercard or makrele. the waiter repeated straight but i want german card. I want German. I want German. I want German. like a child who throws a tantrum. the drinks were not very good. my tee was only medium warm and the gin tonikum tasted like there was only tonikum in the glass. the atmosphere in the inner was very busy and loud, with huge air conditioning machines blowing right next to the tables, so it was not very cozy. that would not have disturbed me so much if the service were in order. but now the overall experience was quite terrible. I felt uncomfortable all the time and could not enjoy eating, although it was very good.

Right up until the end of our meal I would have given this restaurant 4* or 5*. However such an unbelievably rude staff member has made me reconsider. The food we ordered was very tasty, it arrived quickly and we also ordered 2 glasses of wine. It was when we called our server over to get the bill that things went south very quickly. Both me and my friend had Mastercard/Visa cards (accepted all over Europe) and we assumed these would be fine. For some reason the server would not accept our cards and we couldn’t understand why. When we asked to explain what was wrong with them, he huffed his head and turned around in anger as if to say “wow you are stupid” multiple times. He clearly didn’t have very good English, and his German speech was so fast and slurred that I couldn’t understand a word. He absolutely lost his temper at us, was throwing his hands in the air in frustration and made a complete scene! It was utterly humiliating, he didn’t even try to explain in slower words or finding a colleague with better language skills. The German couple on the table next to us eventually had to explain that the restaurant only accepts some sort of German restaurant debit card?! No idea what this is and the German couple didn’t have one either. So in the end the only form of payment we could offer was cash. However neither me nor my friend had enough so I had to go on a 30 minute trip to find a cash machine. By the time I got back the restaurant had closed and my friend was left waiting. I don’t think i have ever experienced such poor service in my life. The perfect restaurant if you want to be laughed at, humiliated, mocked and then have to spend 30 mins finding enough cash to pay the bill!
