Bidra med feedbackToo expensive but I've been drawn here multiple times. Food is consistently very good but a bit homelike. If you crave the homemade food taste (which I don't), this place is worth a visit. No food tried here disappointed and I'll visit again. But not worthy of 5 stars because of the price point.
Went for a family dinner to Soam. They offer a very ethnic spread of gujrati food but not too typical. The taste and quality of food was very good. Felt like we were eating home cooked food!! The service was excellent and super quick. The staff was friendly and kept asking us how the food was and whether we were liking it.Puran Poli is a must try! It was excellent!A good restaurant for a small family dinner!
If you want to have mouth watering desi food look no more. Soam serves good gujarati food and you can also have gola and sugarcane juice out here. We had sev puri, makai wadi, cheese patti samosa, cheese sada dosa , sabudana khichdi , masala khichiya , malai malpua and kesar jalebi. The quantity was good and the food delicious. Will surely come here again with family
If you are craving Gujarati food... Soam is the place to be!<br/ <br/ Falafel was very bad, don’t experiment different cuisines here, stick to indian- specifically Gujju food.<br/ <br/ Puran poli and moongdal halwa was lip smacking! <br/ <br/ Undhiyo was very flavourful and not very oily.<br/ <br/ Satpati roti was good too!<br/ <br/ This place gets really crowded on weekends and at meal time 12noon-2pm and 7pm-8:30pm <br/ So plan accordingly!
The many colours of Soam, Mumbai. Now Soam is an institution at South Bombay in its own right and serves up some of the best Gujarati food and chaat. When I got a chance to visit it this time they also had their winter special going on; pictured here is one of them called Ponkh Bhel. Ponkh is basically tender jowar and this dish was interesting and pretty tasty and if you have had a chance to try Ponkh yet I highly recommend you try it out.The second dish is Dahi puri and I love well made Dahi puris and this was no exception- absolute love! Then we had the Pani Puri and I love that they gave you the option of any filling you want but I rather have them made for you pani puri than the make it your selves pani puri-go figure but this just wasn't the same.Next is the Puri with Undhiyu which again is a winter special dish made of winter vegetables and was super healthy and nice, not going to lie not my favourite puri combo but it was a nice change. All in all, despite being on the higher side of pricing, Soam is definitely worth it.
