Seafood used for sashimi was not fresh; sushi looked messy (no idea why there were heaps of parsil next to it), and tasted mostly of mayonnaise, and tempura was fried in old oil. Friendly waitress but food made us shudder!

The restaurant offer typical Japanese food. We ate Sushi and fried chicken all the time and we enjoyed it. It requires reservation.

Simply go there and it. It's a reasonable place with fantastic food and a delicious Mido Soup. The Interieur is nicer than the exterior don't let yourself fool you.

(before they put this small vegetable ball inside the soup noodle).Nevertheless, the overall taste and service is good.Addition, It will has many people be there in Autumn or winter season. May be many people want to have hot soup noodle.

Mitani certainly has good Japanese food but what they ought to improve is their customer service. From decreasing their lunch service to just dinner service would probably allow them to have a more friendly service but this is not the case. Ordering anything takes forever and if you end up ordering something wrong by mistake and want something else instead, the owner speaks to you in a rude way insisting that it's your fault so they won't make any amends. This will be my last time coming to this place for a meal after 10 years of tolerating bad service. I think other Japanese restaurants are worth a lot more than having to put up with rude and unfriendly service. I do not mind paying for my mistake for the food, but what I do mind is to be told off. It's was supposed to be a nice Mother's Day meal which you (old man behind the sushi bar) completely spoilt it for me and my son.
