Due to the tight table position, you can also get in touch with the adjacent tables quickly. The boss sometimes serves himself - who does not know him from the Baldessarini advertising :

We were there on Sunday evening and the płace was full of guests. I think there is no chance to get a Table without reservation. The staff was very helpfull. Not Big menu, but top quality! Owner keeping eye that everything would be perfect. For...sure I will be back.

Whenever I am in Munich I go here. The best cappuccino, daily menu of quality, fresh, home cooked food and amazing cocktails all at a fair price. Can't recommend it enough. Don't understand the reviews about poor service I have only ever experienced courtious...and professional staff however I have observed a few arrogant guests! That said most people who go there are friendly and its a great place to people watch!

Had fantastic coffee and breakfast at Schumanns Tagesbar on our first day in Munich (cheap as well) so we went back there every day, sometimes for cake and coffee twice for lunch and pretty much every night for cocktails. The food selection is limited but...has very high quality and is very tasty. The location is great, right in the city centre and the staff is fast and professional. The cocktails they recommended were some of the best I've ever tasted. Highly recommended!
