Bidra med feedbackNot at all what we expected. I found this restaurant in some Munich restaurant guide book for 2017. It was praised as a kind of rising new star in a Munich gastronomy world. So after a few days of white sausages, Nurnbergers, sauerkraut kartoffelsalat and other Bavarian delicacies we decided to change for a day with some "fine dining". I ordered Linguine Agli scampi (for cca 16 Euro). It was extremely spicy and hot (not reffering to temperature). There was no warning in menu about that and I don't like spicy food at all. I ate similar kind of food many times and really like pasta and seafood but have never tasted too spicy pasta with sea products. My girlfriend who really doesn't mind her food being spicy (as much as I do) tried it and found it almost inedible for the same reason. I don't know whether it was pepper or something else and I don't care. Other than being too spicy/hot pasta was blend and tasteless, too dry. The other meal we tried from a very narrow selection in menu was Ravioloni Riccota Spinaci which was OK, but nothing to write home about, we tried the same or similar better elsewhere. Location is nice, in the centre of Munich but the place is rather small and consequently cramped if full. Maybe it was just their unusually bad day, so for the benefit of the doubt i give them 2, otherwise it would be 1.
Delicious meal and nice wine. Despite the waiters being off sick the bar man handled the busy restaurant and bar with great professionalism. The cook needs an extra applause for creating delicious dishes
Luckily this restaurant was opposite our hotel. Select menu with excellent quality and choice. Spaghetti with white truffles, sea food pasta, great fish. Good selection of wine. The waitress was particularly helpful and gave good advice. Atmosphere is buzzy and vibrant.
This is a special little, local restaurant hidden in one of the side streets just off the Marienplatz. One of Germany's most famous actors is the co-owner of the restaurant, thus attracting a relatively young crowd in the late 20's and 30's. We were told that the co-owning actor personally comes in every Friday night, unless he's on a film shoot. Whether that is true or not remains to be seen, as it could also be that this is said just to attract more customers that hope to catch a glimpse of the actor. Not sure. However, it is a very small vibrant restaurant offering a small Italian menu and the food was amazing. Staff is amicable yet can be a bit slow and distracted at times. Our waiter got our order wrong a few times because he didn't seem to listen properly, although he was otherwise quite chatty. The place was packed when we arrived and so we were glad to have reserved a table well in advance. It is a relatively young, hidden gem in Munich's centre yet, knowing a lot about the gastronomy, there are certain indications that it can go downhill quickly. One of these indications being, that some of the waiters had a few drinks behind the bar themselves, which should be an absolute no-go for any restaurant business. In any case, I can highly recommend a visit. It's absolutely worth the experience and we stayed there until late, thoroughly enjoying ourselves.
Great Italian restaurant near the pedestrian street. It is a hidden gem that is known by the locals and not too many tourist. Atmosphere is full of energy and the food is very good authentic Italian. Highly recommended making a reservation, even for one. The restaurant is small and even on a freezing rain night it is full.
