Appetizer : i had the shrimp, my bf had the roast beef. My shrimp is mindblowing, roast beef... meh. Main course: i had the ravioli, great tasting, although in the end i felt a bit overwhelmed with the creaminess. nevertheless I would do nothing different as it would mess the balance of the dish. my bf had the fillet wellington. great beef quality, overall taste okay, but I don't feel anything special about it. Portion: rather large, we couldn't fit dessert. Wine:we had the SB, not my favorite. Service: here comes the complain. Our waitress, somehow, only cared about what my bf thinks of the food, if everything was okay, or if we would like more drinks or more wine. not once these questions were asked to me nor did she look into my eyes. After paying, it was also only him who got the vielen Dank and schönen Abend. Owell of course my bf paid, but is this how it works in this restaurant? the one paying and decides the tips gets the nice service? : price: okay, would have been worth it if our waitress was switched to the gentlemen who brought our meals to the table Fazit: despite of the great food, I would not consider to come back to this restaurant.
I have been to all Tim Raue restaurants. I am a fan of Tim Raue in Berlin. Fantastic food, best service in Germany Although, unfortunately I can’t say the same from Munich. I live in the city and have been to the restaurant before. Gave a second try with my daughter and as I was passing by, we stopped to search for a table. The restaurant was empty and it was 8:30 pm. We didn’t have a reservation, the lady looked at my daughter (she is 14 y) and said that they were fully booked out. It was a Wednesday and I said we were not in a hurry that I could wait. She said she couldn’t do anything about it. Such a pity that a talented cook with an amazing story has a place in Munich where the employees don’t carry his values and don’t understand at the end what working with kitchen is about.
Lovely service but the food is unimpressive. Avoid the sardines appetizer! It is a tin of sardines! For that price forget it. Steak and frites is so underwhelming that it is borderline criminal to charge what they charge and serve what they serve. Wine recommendations were very good so it is likely we hit a poor night. Others in our group had the seafood and said it was ok.
One of the best restaurants in the city! Very fine kitchen in a relaxed atmosphere. A first-class service and a very good wine card.
