Cafe Yulong - Mountain View

I came to Cafe Yulong with four stars Yelp expectations, but remained disappointed. It was not bad, but Chinese in Mountain View is generally a little too similar and not so great. I thought the combination of North Chinese and Yelp reviews would make Cafe Yulong different. But Cafe Yulong just sat in the middle of my Chinese experience. We have the fish and rag dumplings I had heard so much about. The fish tasted like egg, which was actually appealing, but the dumplings were quite blunt and lukewarm. Also the garlic green beans with chicken were too familiar. The green beans were tasty enough, but the chicken boobs were not very delicious. The cattle noodle soup was mixed. Beef was tricky and soft, but not of the greatest quality. The noodles were typical and difficult to eat because of their length. The broth was a little oily and a little spicy (and pained like a **** when I turned some in my eye around the noodles), but was also not the biggest. The portions and prices were good and I could introduce better options on the menu, but as I was prepared with Yelp recommendations, I am not completely confident that this place will be a maintainer.
