Arena Sports Grill - Mountain Home

Had a party of 20, asked if they had room for us, they did have enough chairs, but only 2 chefs, they did not tell us that they had 2 chefs until after we ordered, when they should have told us over the phone, it took 2.5 hours to get our food, and 3 girls still didn’t get food… they didn’t have steak when we came in, and this could’ve never happened if they said they couldn’t accommodate us, another complaint is the mild sauce, it tasted more like hot chilly, the only reason they are getting another star is because the wings were decent… and yes I get it that they were in a rush, but that wouldn’t of happened if when we called ahead they said “no we only have 2 chefs” we had to speed off and almost missed our game.

Just had drinks so can't speak to the food. Service and atmosphere were great. Good place to watch a game/race/etc and get your drank

First let me say that the Arena is a five-star family restaurant/bar when it comes to food, service and cold beer… and NORMALLY … great atmosphere. It has been a favorite of my family for years and we eat there a lot! It is also the number one restaurant that I refer my tourist guest to patronize when they are looking for a great place to eat in Mountain Home.When my wife and I ate there today we were literally overwhelmed and disgusted by the horrible Halloween decorations that were hung in every square inch of the restaurant…decapitated **** heads on fish hooks hanging from the ceiling, Ghoules, **** zombies, eerie clowns, skeletons and skulls… You get the picture.Thank goodness I did not have our children or grandchildren with us today! We certainly will not be returning or recommending until the decorations are removed… I’m sure sometime in November. I believe that macabre environment is inappropriate for my God-fearing family to be around!Why would you hang that dark diabolical stuff in your family restaurant/bar?I believe that hurts your business not helps it! This normally would’ve been a five star review, but we enjoy the food and staff a lot and we’re not the kind of people to utterly give you a horrible rating just because of these crazy decorations. Go open a haunted house!Please let us know if you take them down before Halloween is over. We are going to have to find somewhere else to eat and refer people to for the next two months.

We had the worst experience tonight. We sat at table for 15 minutes without even a acknowledgment. Finally I stop a server walking by and asked who our server was, she said she didn’t know. She came back a few minutes later and said she guess she would be. We waited 20 minutes for our appetizer. Then 45 minutes later we still hadn’t received our food. We had order salads and boneless wings. Other customers who came in after us had already eaten an left before we even got our food. When we finally got our food the wings were cold. We have been to the Arena several times and the service great and the food was good. I hope tonight was an anomaly.

Stellar food man. Who would have thought this place would have so many different options to eat. From a 2 inch thick 28 ounce steak cooked perfect to some of the best wings or awesome burgers EVEN WALLEYE. The food here is TOP NOTCH, give it a try. Now keep in mind it is a bar so it might be a little noisy but we'll worth it.
