Gus's Hot Dogs. - Mountain Brook

Great dogs, Birmingham staple. The kraut and the special sauce hot dog is phenomenal. I could smash like 5 of them no problem. The beef special dog is basically like the original dog with kraut, mustard and the sauce with the addition of ground beef on top. Soooo good!! Lastly the chili cheese dog is quintessentially American in a food. Classic. Environment is a tight space but you wouldn’t want it any other way. The service was friendly and prompt. This is a must stop in Birmingham.

We’ve been eating here about 10 years and can honestly say I r never had a bad meal! It’s a modest, un assuming ,NOT fancy tiny place w picnic tables inside . They’re always busy for a reason, the prices are the lowest for miles around I don’t see how they pay the rent super good chili dogs and burgers and they’re NICE! You’ll notice all sorts eating here , some aren’t locals but workers that are in the area. I really like how the managers etc don’t show any difference if someone is wearing a suit or work clothing everyone is equal here ! Sure, the food is not the healthiest, but is my go to when I am craving a real burger . I’ve heard good things about the breakfast too! Our food always is out hot like fries are perfectly hot !! I’m getting hungry writing this. This is the most dependable restaurant in Crestline ! You’ll always be treated well and fast! With hot perfectly prepared meals !

Awesome foodie place. This family run establishment has everything from friendly staff to chili slaw dog. If you get up early enough go sample their breakfast. You won't be sorry.
