I took Mom to lunch today, (93) She has to have assistance to walk, cannot walk on her own, the hostess took us to the far back corner of the restaurant, there were plenty of open tables in the front, I said something about her not being able to walk . the hostess just said sorry, and kept walking, the waitress took our order, a half hour later she stopped to see how things were, I told her the water was all we had, she said oh and walked away, we received the food after 45 min. The gravy has a skin on it from sitting under the heat lamp so long, the eggs were way overcooked and hard and barely warm, hash brown were cold, hardly any gravy on the country fried steak, thank God my Moms food was halfway decent, waitress didn 't show up till we were done, no coffee warm ups or refills, no manager to talk to, just the same hostess, all she said is sorry, would not adjust the bill or offer any kind of concern. Worst Bob evans experience ever. Will not go back !!
I took my mother here for Thanksgiving while we were dealing with a family illness and nobody felt like doing anything for the Holiday. The service and food were far beyond what we expected! Absolutely everything was on point from the greeting to the food to the checkout process. I was very grateful that they were open and tipped big, as should everyone who dines out on a holiday.
If they own this facility, please do us all like and close it! they do the well-loved franchise a disservice, I will reply to the firm office for why they still allow to even have their names on their building. I think they are at this point about the change management / property, they are not even in the same ballpark as this franchise! when you walk in the opposite, you wait everywhere for the people, not for the problem when the host says, 15 ~ 20 min wait. that's reasonable, almost everyone said that was staying, but that was waiting far from 15 ~ 20 minutes. they can double the time frame they are waiting for her, which would most be the right time to choose another place. then they sit down, put their order, they suspect it will wait again. it took an hour to get our food! I wish I could say that it was worth waiting, but it wasn't even close. my over light eggs had zero-run joch left, sausage patties burned black on a side, french overcooked hardly recognizable, the cake we brought home for a later desert had no filling between the crust that they packed. when I was asked before I paid the bill as the service was, I just shaken my head and said I won't even answer. I was offered to the manager immediately, but honestly, 2 hours from going to go to go, she was wasted enough of my day. this review is not for them to get a wake-up notification, it is for other innocent device like me to avoid dealing with them impostors of bob even’s!
Disappointed in time we waited. Short staffed as usual. I'm not sure why take out is given priority over dine in. How do waitresses make good tips with these long wait times? Food was tasty but will not be going back any time soon.
