Toast Of Mt. Pleasant - Mount Pleasant

Probably our fault to expect that toast mt pleasant resembles the ambiente of the inner city of toast (one of our multi-year favorites). we were not pleasantly surprised at the loud profane street house atmosphere - eating was good, but hard for 70yo couple to really enjoy it. not the toast we know.

We went last Saturday night for dinner. The crab appetizer was good but my Salmon entree was disappointing. It was tasteless and over cooked. Overall the place is poorly managed. We all agree in that the place is best for late night appetizers and music. I would not recommend this place for dinner.

Chicken entree is good. Need some more healthy choices, please.

Toast is a fun place that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 PM their is dulling pianos with top notch singers and players, The fun goes on until 11:00 PM each of these nights. We had drinks and dinner on our visit, The wife enjoyed a bourbon-honey glazed pork chops served on mashed potatoes and a vegetable stir-fry. She loved it. I enjoyed s fried seafood plate with shrimp, oysters, scallops served with a vegetable stir-fry and a house salad on the side that was very good. Then we settled in and listened to very good live music until they closed. This location was The Fill before Toast opened late last year.

This experience was interesting. Our server was probably in training or just a few days off training. She tried really hard but didn't have her timing yet. Some things like draft beers took a long time, others like hot food not so much. The dueling pianos is a nice touch. Seriously, this is a good place, we just caught our server in training. I would return here again.
