Bidra med feedbackVisiting from Atlanta and I’m so glad we stopped by this place. The restaurant is beautiful and has an awesome atmosphere. The food made the whole experience so awesome. The drinks were top-tier and everything was perfectly cooked. Would definitely recommend and would come back when visiting South Carolina again.
We have nothing but great things to say about Savi! We have always had hot, delicious food and prerefectly prepared cocktails especially the White Russian!
Short story: for the price, this place is not worth it. We spent an average of $100/person, and I left not feeling any better than if I ate at any other place. For this price point, we would have liked that none of these things happened:1. The server informed us 4 times that they were out of the wine we had asked for. Yes, we had to pick a different wine 4 times until they finally had the wine they listed on the menu also in the cellar. That really didn’t help the mood of the night. One doesn’t want to get all excited about a wine choice 4 times and be told “we don’t have it”, 5 minutes later.2. The main meals were cold because the cooking time was different for different meals. So we believe they cooked the fish first and out the plates under the heat while the eggplant cooked. My friends didn’t enjoy the tough and cold pasta and fish.3. I had the eggplant. At $30+, it was very plain, no other flavor but overpowering tomato. Not a great dish. This dish can be a masterpiece, but not when cooked this way.4. Service was slow and unpredictable. We waited and waited to be checked on. And we were not asked whether we liked the meals or not.In short, at $400 for a party of 4, this place is not worth it.But, if you only have appetizers and beer, and pay the bill as soon as possible, you may have a different experience. For us, we’ll go to 82 Queen in Downtown Charleston. That place actually knows how to do fine dining.
It just doesn’t get any better in a 500 mile radius! I highly recommend you sit in the bar area somewhere and specifically request a gentleman by the name of Nevin. He is a barkeep/server extraordinaire. My wife and I dined there tonight and had the extreme privilege of being served by him for the second time. Absolute perfection he is in all ways. The food, both in presentation and flavor, is as good if not better than any other restaurant you will eat at. All in a low key, romantic and sophisticated atmosphere. There is nothing more you can ask for. This review written by a couple that eats out almost every single night.
Italian chopped salad and Sausage and Burrata pizza was excellent. The standout here is the service. All of the staff are super friendly and always checking if you need anything.
