R.b. 's Seafood - Mount Pleasant

Good place to eat near Bachwasser a great and beautiful meal selection at a suitable price, but expect nothing from ordinary while seeing dolphins, Pelicans, gulls and that come and go from fishing and family boats. With good weather and at noon very recommended especially for the place. Furniture and decoration must be renewed, in some way it looks old and dirty .

Both my husband and I enjoy going to RB again and again. We look forward to the atmosphere both inside and outside! Our visit this week included the reputation of dolphins and pelicans directly from our seat while you eat delicious shrimps and brookries. Would you like to see a few more items added to their menu for a five star experience.

The shining star of my meal here was the world famous crab dip. There were huge chunks of crab meat in it. They serve it with basic crackers and captains wafers, which I thought was kind of boring until I tried the dip. It didn 't need any more than that. What was a bit disappointing was the flounder. It was pretty overcooked and dry. I had to drown it with sauce to make it decent. The Brussels sprouts I didn 't actually eat more than one. I 'm used to crispy Brussels sprouts that are baked or pan fried and these were just steamed. That 's just a personal taste preference so I can 't really fault them much for that. Service wasn 't overwhelming or underwhelming, just pretty whelming (that 's a word in Europe, right? . The view was nice but I saw other restaurants that had rooftop patios which looked more exciting. I hear they have a decent happy hour so if all you 're looking for is a few drinks and some crab dip, it might be worth it.

So here's a rundown: Atmosphere: 5/5 View: 5/5 Food : 3.5/5 Service: 2.5/5 The food was good, but I could tell it was sitting out for a little bit before getting to us. If we got it sooner it would be a solid 4/5. The wait was stupid bad. Maybe it was our waitress but it was bad. Over an hour wait, and it wasn't too busy. I've been to busier places with faster service. In short it was a mess, but it could have been worse I guess. However the view was great. If you go, get outside seating cause you want that nice view while you wait.

Buyer Beware! Read the other reviews. We can’t all be wrong. Not busy. Ordered she crab cakes and if it were hot it would have been good. Waitress has taken it to heat up... never returned. Hush puppies arrived after asking for them and another mushy near room temperature experience. Flounder and oysters arrive on a plate with lots of water, soggy but not what I ordered; flounder and scallops. Wife is done eating her tasty near room temperature crab cakes while I wait for my dinner and craft this review to alert others. New flounder and scallops arrive however at near room temperature. Asked for the soup back. You guessed it, slightly warmer. Had to ask for water refills. How can all of this be? Sad, but if the management and kitchen don’t turn the corner RBs will not be around much longer. No one is concerned, no one asks about the “corrective actions “. SO MANY OTHER great options. Try them all first. Now paying $80 for what I just described and not pleased at all. We will see if there is a response by RBs... Nice view.
