Bardwell Winery - Mount Orab

I can only write this review regarding going to this place around noon on a Friday. I am going to assume it is more welcoming later in the day or weekends . Their website said they opened at 10:30 am . We arrived around 11:30 . We did realized their kitchen may not be open but most places let you order in if they aren’t serving . As we walked it we were greeted hesitantly with a definite “ why are you here vibe “. We mentioned we wanted to try some beer or wine . We did get a table and eventually a beer . When we asked about food they said no they were not serving nor could we order in . The whole vibe was as if we were trespassing. We quickly drank our beer and found a lovely Mexican restaurant nearby and also another beautiful winery further east see my next two reviews) . All i can say for this place is , don’t say you are open if you don’t want people walking through the door .

I loved coming here for paint night before the pandemic hit. They still have great food and even better sangria!!

A great night!! Awesome place to eat and the ambiance is awesome, a great date nite location!! The food is great as is the service and the Sangria is def something to experience!!! During the summer there is live music also!! Great small restaurant!

I’m only through the salad and so far I am astonished. This place is a gem. I am so glad to have found a place like this in Mt. Orab. Refined but not snobby. What a great feeling. Maybe it’s the delicious Pinot or the couple free samples. Whatever it is great job.

Great food, great wine, great people! My husband, and I are all about supporting our local family owned businesses. Bardwell winery is amazing!
