Mac's - Mount Gambier

Dined only. Excellent service from very cheerful and competent staff. Meals very good. Prices reasonable. Highly recommend. We will certainly return next time we're through Mt Gambier. Service: 5 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value

Dinner here was mixed I had a lovely chicken parma cooked spot on. My wife's rump how ever was slightly over cooked but was more gristle than meat, the staff did replace it with another that was slightly better and a couple drinks on the house. I feel it was the meat itself was a cheaper cut. Rooms: 4 Service: 4 Location: 4

Cocktails are in consistent. Takes a long time to receive your order. Ordered same cocktail 2 weeks apart and it was completely different. Definitely better places in Mount Gambier to sit back relax and enjoy a cocktail would not head back in a hurry Service: 2 Location: 3

I had a few nights stay at Macs in October and I really can 't complain. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is quirky and authentic. I kept hearing myself wonder "if these walls could talk. The room was basic, small and tidy but was rather dusty The shared bathroom was very clean. Repainting was only half complete but was still bright. The automatic room spray device in my room was causing me some breathing difficulties but was very high on the wall and there was no way to turn it off so a couple of the staff turned on their acrobatics and took it down. They were very prompt and rather entertaining in doing so. I 've given this place an over all 4 star based on my experience in accommodation in the budget category. It was warm, comfortable, friendly and it 's affordable. Staff make you feel right at home too, their smiles and conversations feel genuine unlike some other much more expensive hotels I 've stayed where they seem to smile through gritted teeth. I 'd absolutely be staying again.

The staff was very professional yet 'very friendly helpful always making the patrons are well looked after and comfortable with their stay.
