Bidra med feedbackHave been here previously and it was beautiful. However, this time the whole outdoor area smelled literally like ****. Not sure if I'll be coming back.
The resturant is fantastic and up there with some of the best in Brisbane
For A Day On The Green events it offers no shading whatsoever and there's no access to the winery building. For the price they charge they could afford to erect marquees on the outer areas for patrons who are expected to arrive by 3pm and endure the hottest part of the day.
We had a 1pm reservation, all guests were present by 1.10pm. The waiter took some 15 minutes to come ask if we wanted any drinks, we said we were ready to order. We asked for a bottle of water my husband ordered a beer, which arrived with our sourdough starter within approximately 20minutes. By 2pm we asked for another bottle of water, which didn’t arrive. We noticed other diners coming in and placing their orders after us receiving their meals before us. Our waiter walked past us many times delivering meals, but not once stopped to ask if we needed anything or to explain the delays. By2.20pm, I asked a different waiter, if he could check on our order, as we were quite hungry couldn’t understand the delay. This waiter returned apologised for the delay told us our meals were now being started, and should be ready in “approximately 15 minutes or so” at which point, we asked do you mean that the order hadn’t been started, he just apologised again we cancelled the order. We were walking away were “chased” by another waiter, who told us we still had to pay. I spoke to the manager, to explain the problem she actually wanted me to pay $111.00 for the entire meal. We were happy to pay for what we ate, but didn’t see why we should pay for the food we didn’t get. After a heated argument, the manager said she’d pay the bill herself. We have been many times have never been treated as subhuman before, but this was an absolute disgrace. We certainly won’t be going back there ever.
Not sure if I should blame Sirromet or the event organisers! Went to Grapevine festival and seriously, you line up for the toilets about 20 mins, and they stopped selling bottles of wine after 5pm. The lines were absolutely ridiculous and you could only buy 2 drinks at a time. Its like going to KFC but cant buy chicken!!! If this is how they run festivals that would certainly be my last one!
