Bidra med feedbackWow, this place was incredibly busy for a Monday night, so we had to take it. many options to choose and I chose the spiced duck that was beautiful and lively and full of pleasure. Crazy enough, we just waited 5 minutes for our food. prices are slightly expensive at $20 min.
First, hate who does the chalkboard for this restaurant. the menu is enormous and the change of the colored chalk for each individual dish deserves a mention! have been to basil nuss often dinner and my recent visit only happened with the hottest evening of 2017 when it was 38 degrees around 18 o'clock! have the last table next to the register, so we were in the position to read all three walls of tableware! also quite hot and steamy beside the very busy kitchen! started with the sampler plate consisting of purse, fish cake, early rolls and gyoza. delicious! then green chicken curry and the cashewnuss seafood stir w king prawns, kalamari and a lot...read more
Spectacularly bad. This place was always good and so they have always gotten busy. In fact the food was good enough to warrant a 35-40 minute wait. We've had a few mediocre meals there in the past when they've been busy but this was the final straw. And this is my first restaurant review. Ever. It wasn't to be this time. After a 45 minute wait out on the street for Pad Thai, chicken and Cashew nuts, steamed rice and satay skewer entree, the order was just left on the counter. Another member of the public waiting for their takeaway came out and asked me what my name was and indeed it was mine. After getting it home the chicken skewers tasted more like curry, and it's not a good sign...read more
Great local Mossman eateryFood is consistently delicious, stunning and portions are generous.
Great place hidden away from the too touristy Katoomba main street.
