Bidra med feedbackI used to go on the weekends. The food was great, the staff was fantastic and the atmosphere was comfortable and easy to visit with friends. Now there's a DJ that's playing music that is so loud that the staff can't hear your order. If you wanted to get people to leave, you have found the perfect solution.I used to go to Rock Top, but the loud music drove me away. I guess Michael's on the Lake is my last refuge.
The food was good and service was exceptional. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy.
Great food, great customer service. Very expensive, just to not be an actual restaurant setting. Also, not taking verticals is a notably lazy business practice. Considering we had already spent well over $60 on food and a generous tip before we even received service, to be denied a glass of wine is an insult. Not so petty as to let that ruin the experience though.
I want to love this place. The food is good, locally owned, and everyone is friendly.Big ding is prices on menu don't reflect current pricing. ie extra burger patty on online menu is 4.99 actual current price is 6.99. While I understand the increase in menu pricing from several years ago, I'd like them to keep it current on the website. Update: the Gouda bacon burger was fantastic. Cooked as requested, nice thick slice of tomato, and wrapped in paper to prevent it from falling apart. Their in house chips are excellent!
If you’re used to food in Seattle and Seattle neighborhoods, this would probably be very average to you, as it was to me. Sandwiches were good but nothing super special. Salads were very bland. Everything on the menu was described much better than it actually tasted. House-made chips had no seasoning and tasted bland. We stopped here on our way back to Seattle from Spokane and spend about $60 on two sandwiches and a salad. Wouldn’t go back.
