The Stables Motel - MORTLAKE

This restaurant has exceptional hospitality! The staff, especially Tahlia, are fantastic. The owners, Heather and Wayne, are genuine and provide excellent service. They made sure our dining experience was amazing. The food was delicious, especially the red wine jus with the scotch fillet. Tahlia even helped us pick out a gift for the kind people who assisted us when our car broke down nearby. This kind of old-fashioned service is rare to find nowadays. Overall, the service at this restaurant is outstanding. Great job!

Living quite close to the Stables, we have often ventured in for a meal. We have always been warmly greeted and well served. The staff have always been terrific. Our meal this time lover a bottle of wine was presented as it tasted. Great meal and good wine. The owners stopped for a chat and we finished off with desert. A good honest pub meal. If your driving by and looking for a break, make this one of your stops.

We stayed because we bought a pub, and went to check out what else was on offer. The rooms were clean but dated, and the fridge had not been restocked as it still had the opened milk container. The rain was incessant overnight and we slept like logs, well till about 5 in the morning. The rooms are well positioned across the road from a park and a couple of hundred meters from Tea Tree Lake. We were looking forward to the farmers market but it was raining to heavily. Good big clean rooms could do with a little love.

Called in here for an evening counter meal and Was not disappointed. Had a beautiful Chicken Parmagiana, one of the best I have ever had and was accompanied by very tasty fries and I could help myself to all the trimmings, being hot vegetables OR fresh salads. Beer went down very well with the food and will definitely call in here again, if possible.

Great pub meal with excellent service. Very pleasant atmosphere and an ideal dining option if staying in nearby caravan park.
