Bidra med feedbackDefinitely not anglophone friendly...and do NOT ask them for fresh cooked bacon as I did because you'll get an earful from the waitress and the owner. Was told "it takes too much time"- Plenty more to this story but here's what you need to know:- after politely discussing the issue with the owner and politely discussing why perhaps she might make an exception (I'm retired and have all the time in the world to wait lol)... this total whacko comes out of the kitchen and starts threatening me, yelling at me and sticks his finger in my face ...All because I asked for fresh cooked bacon?Yikes!
Chez Amelie is a friendly, family operated eatery, with a basic menu. It's convenient, the service is fast, and the food plain and plainly good. A fast convenient place to get a basic breakfast, served with a smile, free coffee fill-ups, and a cozy, friendly dining room
We took a little dinner at this restaurant, friendly welcome and standard food for a canteen. clean and personal care
No fancy decor, no scalloped fruit, no linen table cloths... it's a notch above a trailer when it comes to the premises. The food is good, definitely home made...as in the kitchen is like the one we had 20 years ago. Urban types should probably stick to St-Sauveur but if your just looking for a solid meal to get you going in the AM and don't care for the ''Entourage'' it will fit the bill just fine at a reasonable price. Pleasant mother and daughter team there to great and serve you.
Second time I've been for breakfast. This time I brought my adult children. The place is a diner, teal green walls, sparse decoration but fabulous breakfast and friendly waitresses. The booth walls are a little high making for a closed in feel but you're really there just to eat. You wouldn't get better food in a high end restaurant. It really is a diner/ truck stop feel. It's almost quaint but no quite. You can even sit outside. This restaurant is along a highway but that doesn't make a difference. The prices are incredible and the food fantastic. You go there to eat. For ambiance go into St Sauveur.
