Rio 53 - Morelia

We are a group of four foods and excellent cooks in our own right. only one of us had ever eaten in this restaurant. we really wanted to find a place with a big burger or slider. we found this restaurant to be below... average. service: our service was okay, but it seemed as if our server had had little training or practice. ambiente and vibe: this part of the experience was pretty good, but our table should only have been used as two or three tops, as there is not enough space for drinks and service plates and cutlery. burgers: three of us asked for medium skill on our burgers and a asked medium rare. after delivery were three medium-sized burgers at some places quite rare and even cold and raw. the medium-sized, rare burger was almost uncooked. the middle rare burger was returned and came with very little change, if at all. our server just didn't seem to care and nobody even asked if everything was in order. this was not the only problem because the meat quality was not good and the burgers were clearly prefabricated in some factories, but made by hand and it seemed that the meat had to be cooked directly from the freeze cabinet instead of being prepared with fresh meat. the whole Burger experience was bad. we ordered each of the kartoffel sides on the menu. the potato in each dish were quite boiled and quite hard to bite. the sauces were not according to our taste, but that was perhaps a cultural difference. all in all, we were sad that we had not yet found our “big burgers” in lia. but tomorrow is another day!

Beautiful cozy escapade. really a champ at cheap ess. extremely tasty burger with a superior bungalow. the lateral garlic potatoes were excellent.

We can't wait to get back to lia every year to go to this place. Their burgers are phenomenal!! The lamb burger and the shrimp burger are our absolute favorites...with pulled pork coming in close behind. There side dishes are very creative and tasty. Their...selection of micro brew beers is good too. Whoda thought we'd be craving gourmet burgets in Mexico!!??

We had a traditional burger with speck (tocino), the papas al cilantro and ejote verde. all were a big hit. good choice for a gourmet style burger in lia.

Everything in the menu is delicious: hamburguers, salads and drinks! it is a nice place to enjoy a good meal with family or friends. also nice service. highly recommended.
